Oh, I hope I didn’t mislead anyone with the statements in my profile! We don’t do 3D printing ourselves — we’re trying to develop methods of manipulating atoms which would allow the ultimate in 3D printing. Although the video below is pure science fiction I find it very inspiring. Is it possible to develop a nanofactory along these lines?

As regards the coolest thing I’ve ever seen 3D printed by someone else, it’s this: http://publiclab.org/notes/flatCat/08-29-2014/ramanpi-the-3d-printable-raspberry-pi-raman-spectrometer

A Raman spectrometer detects the tiny vibrations of molecules. It’s not an easy thing to build. 3D printing an entire spectrometer is *really* impressive!
