      I’d love to win the Nobel Prize, but that’s probably not realistic.

      Becoming a head of a department would be a massive achievement but that is quite far off. At the moment in my working towards becoming a state registered scientist which will be the highlight so far. Being state registered means I can work independently and will be given more responsibilities. It would also open up more career opportunities.

      If our group could make a 3D structure (a nanoparticle) atom-by-atom by computer control, that’d be a real highlight! It’s something that I’d really like to see us do before I retire.
