• Question: If two rockets are destined for the moon, one in Australia and one in England, will the one in Austria have to take a different path to the one in England because they are at different places on the planet?

      Yes, they will. Probably the biggest difference will be the launch direction. It’s easier to launch rockets eastward than westward because of the Earth’s rotation but it is also usually better not to launch a rocket over a place where a lot of people live. That’s why the US would launch rockets from Florida instead of California.
